Performance poet Daphne Gottlieb is the author of Kissing Dead Girls, Final, Why Things Burn, and Pelt, as well as the graphic novel Jokes and the Unconscious with artist Diane DiMassa. She has been published in The Utne Reader, Tikkun, nerve.com, McSweeney’s, Exquisite Corpse and Instant City, as well as numerous anthologies. Based in San Francisco, Gottlieb received her MFA from Mills College.
Joseph Lease's books include Broken World (Coffee House Press) and Human Rights (Zoland Books). His poem "'Broken World' (For James Assatly)" was selected for The Best American Poetry 2002 (Scribner). His poems have been featured on NPR and published in The AGNI 30th Anniversary Poetry Anthology, Bay Poetics, Paris Review, Talisman, and elsewhere. Lease is an Associate Professor of Writing and Literature at California College of the Arts.
