Britta Austin, Marisa Crawford, Michael McCarrin & Sarah Fran Wisby

Marisa Crawford is the author of The Haunted House from Switchback Books. She grew up in New York and in Connecticut, and graduated from the University of Massachusetts, where she studied Creative Writing and Women’s Studies. She received her MFA from San Francisco State University and lives in San Francisco where she works as a retail copywriter and sometimes teaches high school students about poetry & feminism. Some of her poems have appeared in Action, Yes, Shampoo, and Invisible Ear.

Sarah Fran Wisby
is the author of Viva Loss, a book of fables and speculations published by Small Desk Press. she has recent work in Eleven Eleven journal and Transfer magazine, and was just awarded a writing residency at the Art Farm in Nebraska, where she will head in September.

Michael McCarrin
manages the website for Small Desk Press, and works days at Pottery Barn, where he converts the paragraphs that describe the products in their catalog into the bulleted lists that describe those products on their website. His writings are available for free online at www.potterybarn.com.

Britta Austin grew up on a retired farm in the Pacific Northwest, where she studied the fine arts of tree fort building, river wading, and chicken herding. She now lives in San Francisco where she tends to her small family of old manual typewriters and bikes about town admiring street trees and dreaming of the forest. Her first book, Artifacts, was released from Watchword Press in January 2010.
